Housing Secretary, Robert Jenick, has announced new guidelines this week which will “allow the housing market to resume”. The industry is now returning to work under government guidance that sets out a “new normal” for home buyers, sellers and estate agents. No doubt, it will be a very different picture to the “pre-virus” days. Mr Jenrick said the government’s “step-by-step plan” will enable people “to move home safely, covering each aspect of the sales and letting process, from viewings to removals
The sales market was essentially placed on hold in March when the lockdown rules effectively prevented house moves. It is estimated there are over 450,000 buyers and renters with plans on hold.
