Our History
We are one of the longest standing firms in Southport, founded over 120 years ago. The original founder of the firm was Walter Ainsworth Cook. He began practice in Post Office Avenue in Southport and later moved to St. George’s Place. In 1902 Walter Cook took partnership with Percy Talbot and the name then became Cook and Talbot.
Our office remained at St. George’s Place until July 2016 when we re-located to the Old Courthouse on Albert Road. The new office is in-keeping with the firm’s recent modernisation and provides clients with free, accessible parking, making it easier for clients to visit us.
