Mark Lloyd

Director
Mark Lloyd obtained his LL.B at Liverpool, was admitted as a solicitor in 1992, and joined Cook & Talbot in 1997.
Mark predominantly specialises in residential Conveyancing matters but also deals with Commercial Conveyancing.
Mark Lloyd heads a dedicated team handling a busy workload of sales, purchases, remortgages and other property transactions dealing with domestic and commercial premises for private and commercial clients up and down the country.
He is assisted by Ellen Alker who has been with Cook & Talbot since 1995 and Jacquie Stewart who has been with us since 1997, all of whom have extensive experience in all legal matters and property transactions in particular

John Wroblewski

Director
John graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1992 with a degree in Law before completing his Law Society Finals at Chester College of Law and thereafter qualifying as a Solicitor in Southport in 1995.
John has returned to Southport following a period of time as a Partner in a well-established north west practice.
John brings considerable experience to a wide-ranging general litigation caseload and has significant expertise in employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, representing both employer and employee. John also deals with contested probate claims and his practice encompasses a range of other issues including contract law, professional negligence, residential landlord and tenant disputes, nuisance claims, debt recovery, property disputes and dispute resolution.
In each case that he undertakes, John prides himself on an analytical and detailed approach and is committed to providing his clients with a first rate service. John also has experience of Private Client work.

Sarah Rostamlou-Andrews

Director
Sarah was born in Southport and educated at Nottingham University and Nottingham Law School.
Sarah joined Cook & Talbot as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 2008. She spent several years practicing in the areas of civil litigation and private client before beginning to take on some management responsibilities in 2013. In 2015 Sarah became a Partner (now Director), a position which she feels privileged to hold. In her current role, Sarah is head of the firm’s management and compliance alongside continuing to provide legal advice in private client matters.

Charles Lawrence
BA (Hons)
Solicitor
Charles obtained a business degree followed by a law conversion course (CPE). He completed his academic training at the Chester College of Law before commencing his training contract at another local practice. He qualified in 1998 and became a partner in 2003.
Charles handles all aspects of residential conveyancing and is supported by his assistant Vicky Noren who has been with the practice since 2005 and is highly experienced in all conveyancing matters.

Jennifer Wilkinson

Solicitor
Jennifer Wilkinson was born in Liverpool and grew up in Longton, near Preston. After attending Penwortham Priory High School and Runshaw College, she then studied a Law Degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
After training in Preston, Jennifer qualified as a solicitor in Private Client work in 2009. Jennifer specialises in all aspects of later life planning, including Wills, probate, power of attorney, Court of Protection and estate planning. She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, which is a national group of recognised solicitors who specialise in matters relating to the elderly client.

Andrea Cheesman

Solicitor
Andrea works in the firms’ commercial property department providing a full range of property services including commercial leases; sale and purchase of land for development; business sales and acquisitions. She deals with high value and/or complex transactions and also has a wealth of experience in residential conveyancing.
Whilst Andrea deals with transactions across the UK, she has a detailed knowledge of the local property market and specialises in local transactions where a traditional high quality service with face to face contact is preferred
Andrea studied English and Law at University of Westminster and graduated in 1992. She completed the Legal Practice Course at College of Law Chester and qualified in 1999.
After completing her legal training Andrea became a partner at an established law firm in Liverpool where she worked until she joined Cook and Talbot in 2019.

Amanda Johnson
Conveyancing Executive
Amanda joined Cook and Talbot in 1995 working in the conveyancing department and has progressed to her position as an experienced Conveyancing Executive. Amanda deals with residential re-mortgage, sale and purchase transactions providing an efficient and approachable one-to-one service to a local and national client base.

Helen Cobham
Accounts Manager
Helen Cobham was born and educated in Southport.
She joined the firm in 2017 bringing her own wealth of experience of over 16 years in accounts to head up the Cashiers Office.
As the Accounts Manager, Helen runs the department with organisation, efficiency and passion. She is enthusiastic to develop new systems and procedures to ensure compliance within the firm and to provide commitment, high standards and reassurance to clients, whilst keeping the traditional ethos.
Helen’s dedication to the Firm denotes her hardworking and reliable character.
She is a member of The Institute of Legal Finance and Management.
